Last week Dave and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary. We knew that before our night of celebration was over we wanted to ride the New York, New York roller coaster, but other than that we were clueless. Personally, I can only enjoy a limited amount of time on The Strip before I grow irritable. So to be on the safe side we decided to enjoy dinner elsewhere... We needed up dining at the fabulous Lake Las Vegas. It was kind of a gamble since neither Dave nor I had ever been there--we'd just heard from friends that is was definitely worth visiting. It turned out to be an awesome setting, and we ate a fantastic meal at a restaurant inside Loews hotel. One of my long-lost friend from middle school was our waitress--it's small, small world. Dave ate a "half chicken" while I enjoyed a Barramundi, a fish native to Australia.
After dinner we headed down to The Strip to ride the roller coaster. It was the first time for Dave and first time for me in about five years! It was even better than I remembered. I love New York, New York, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to handle the rides on top the Stratosphere. They just look too scary.
We tried really hard to get a picture of the roller coaster behind us...
Maybe my favorite picture taken that night
